Happy New Year to all my PMI
colleagues.
I am excited to be kicking off the
new year as President of our chapter and look forward to
all the good things to come in this year.
Let me start by thanking all the
Board members from 2011 that added so much enthusiasm
and hard work our chapter and the great year we had.
Cheryl Archer did a wonderful job as President
and gave us many successes this past year.
We had a tremendous learning series with the walk
through the PMBOK inspired by Tom Hanson our VP of
Programs, a very successful 2nd annual Spring
Symposium put together by Cheryl Archer and Keith Yockey
our VP of Professional Development, the additional of
our 3rd Branch with Pensacola, and finally an
energy packed annual meeting led by Tracey McWhorter our
VP Communications.
We have several new board members
with a lot of energy and new ideas that have joined and
the 2012 year looks to be a strong one.
The chapter will host its third annual Spring
Symposium this April.
This event will allow numerous PDUs to be earned
from participants and a great opportunity to meet and
enjoy fellow PMs.
We have several great speakers lined up for our
monthly meetings, but we are always looking for new and
exciting speakers.
We have a lot of new and exciting things coming
this year and we hope to see many more of you involved
in the Chapter as we grow even larger.
The year will be a great year for
our chapter, and I look forward to meeting and working
with all our members.
